Terms of Service

1. The service

Ilmgage is a classroom platform that lets teachers build quizzes, vocabulary decks, guided notes, and other learning activities — including with AI assistance — run live classes, track attendance, and grade student work. Students join a teacher's class using a class code and, in most cases, do not create their own account.

2. Eligibility and accounts

Teacher and administrator accounts may only be created by individuals who are at least 18 years old and who have the authority to use the Service on behalf of themselves or their school. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.

Students access Ilmgage through their school or teacher, using a class code provided by that teacher. Students do not independently register for the Service, and a student's use of Ilmgage is subject to their school's authorization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or generate content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a classroom setting;
• Attempt to access another teacher's account, another school's data, or any student data you are not authorized to view;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by circumventing usage limits or attempting unauthorized access to our systems; or
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to resell access without our written permission.

4. Content ownership

Teachers own the materials they create or upload in Ilmgage — including quizzes, vocabulary sets, guided notes, and any source material used to generate them. By using the Service, you grant Ilmgage a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely as needed to operate the Service and provide it to your students.

We do not claim ownership over your instructional content, and we do not use it to train AI models or share it with other schools.

5. AI-generated content

Some content in Ilmgage — including quiz questions, vocabulary items, and guided notes — may be generated with the assistance of AI, based on source material you provide. AI-generated content can contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy and appropriateness before assigning it to students or using it in the classroom.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Stripe, at the prices displayed on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change with notice.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features through that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI generation credits. Credits reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over or accumulate — unused credits are forfeited at the end of the month.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, including for violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or nonpayment. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, though we may retain data as needed to comply with legal obligations or as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ilmgage and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting an update on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
